Comfy Athleisure Outfits You Can Wear At Home & Outdoors

Updated: Mar 24, 2021

I've been living in athleisure and loungewear for the past year. Honestly, I'm not planning to stop anytime soon. Who would've thought that comfy sweatpants and cozy sweaters would dominate 2020 and 2021? Leggings are the new jeans, and we're all just looking for clothing that feels good to wear.

I am now using my athleisure and sweatpants as my "everyday" outfit. So, I thought you'd be interested in some versatile cozy pieces you can wear at home, for grocery shopping, errands, and walks through the park.

I've been browsing Pinterest and Amazon for comfy outfits, athleisure outfits, and loungewear ideas these past few days.

I've seen so many cute individual pieces you can mix and match as well as pretty sets. And, what's even better, they're great dupes for expensive athleisure clothing and cost a fraction of the price.

Kendall Jenner is wearing a green sweatshirt with simple black leggings, but for my version, I would choose flared leggings just to elevate the look from basic to a bit more unique.

Even though it's labeled a men's sweatshirt, this pink cozy, and soft top is perfect for women. It's really gender-neutral, and it comes in many pretty colors, including pink, grey, white, and black.

It has a soft, plushy interior that doesn't itch or scratch at all, and it washes pretty well.

Now, I would pair Gildan sweatshirts with mom jeans for a shopping run or comfortable yoga pants or leggings for at-home wear. As I lounge in my bed and work from home or cook, I can't be bothered with jeans.

What I appreciate about these leggings or yoga pants is the flare leg, which makes it more fashionable than the average pair of leggings. 2021 spring and summer trends are all about flare-leg trousers and jeans, so why skip flare-legged leggings?

Flared yoga pants are the new "it" casual athleisure clothing piece.

I can't skip biker shorts because they're just so versatile. Perfect for hot summer days but great for workouts too. I have them in black and grey, but I'm thinking about adding more of these comfy shorts to my cozy clothing collection.

These biker shorts come in more than 20 colors, so you've got lots of options. My personal favorite is black and this heather grey, but I might get orange or pink ones to wear around the garden.

What do you think of this combination of biker shorts, sweatshirt, and Prada bag? I totally dig it but I would pair it with a more affordable crossbody bag that I own, like the Aldo Greenwald Crossbody bag in black.

Cropped sweaters are a big trend for 2021 again, so I would pair a cute neutral cropped sweater with biker shorts and your comfy outfit is done.

I love white sweaters, and this mock neck piece is stylish but also basic, so it goes well with most pieces in your wardrobe.

This kind of top is perfect for chilly days when you want to feel warm but don't feel like layering.

For the ultimate "going to get coffee" look, I would add a cute bucket hat too. Kangol has really cute unisex bucket hats.

Sets are amazing. There's no thinking required when putting together a cozy outfit. A set is a matching top with matching bottoms. I recommend having a short sleeve and a long sleeve set so you're covered for all seasons.

I like a matching long sleeve top and long sweatpants-style knit bottoms.

This particular set comes in a ton of colors, but this khaki green and burgundy are my two favorites. Neutrals are also a good option because they look more elevated than your basic knit sets.

As soon as warm weather is around, I will be living in short two-piece sets. Pink is a fun, feminine option for lounging at home or heading out.

If you get bored of the matching pieces, you can combine the top with biker shorts or flared leggings. The good news is that you can find these "not a pajama but comfy as a pajama" sets in many colors and prints.

You can of course run, do yoga, workout, peloton, and move comfortably in these kinds of athleisure clothes.
